Stockholm Film Festival Junior was founded in 2000 with the aim to spread cinematic joy to children and youths. The main goal of the film festival is to show quality films from every corner of the world, and films which are different from the mainstream theatrical repertoire. The film screenings are free of charge to all children, youths and teachers. In addition to this, each year the festival invites a number of international filmmakers to visit Stockholm and meet the young audience and answer their questions.
