Your films stay private, never sold, never scraped.

Inside Circkit

Your whole festival run, planned

Every festival is scored against your film, then sequenced into a plan you can actually run. Stretch, realistic and safe, recalibrated after every result.

Circkit strategy view showing a sequenced festival plan with stretch, realistic and safe picks

Submitting blind is expensive

0 click

Burns your world premiere

Submit to the wrong festival first and your premiere strategy is over. There is no undo. Most filmmakers don’t realise until it’s too late

£40–0

Per wrong submission

Entry fees for festivals that will never select your film because a programmer hasn’t touched that genre in three years. Multiplied across 40 submissions

0+ hrs

Saved on festival research

Circkit reads every programmer and juror's taste, genre history, awards pathways and deadlines for you, the digging that used to swallow a week of evenings before you submitted a single film

Festival strategy without the fog

We stay with you

Step 1

Add the basics, upload a script if you have one, and Circkit reads for format, tone, runtime and festival signals

Hand-drawn filmmaker arranging a film strategy desk

Step 2

World, international and national premiere choices are separated, so one wrong click does not quietly close the best door

Hand-drawn filmmaker studying a festival route map

Step 3

Every festival recommendation explains the fit: programmer taste, genre history, awards pathway, deadlines and risk

Hand-drawn filmmaker sorting a festival shortlist

Step 4

Track the submission, materials, fees and outcomes in one place while FilmFreeway handles the final send

Step 5

If a rejection lands, Circkit recalibrates the route instead of leaving you with a broken spreadsheet

... and hopefully some festivals have been won? Or at least some moolah $$$

It's the people, not just the festival

We profile programmers and past juries from their public track record and years of selections, so you can read the taste behind each festival

Protect your world premiere

Catch world-premiere conflicts before you submit. One wrong click can't end your run

A strategy that keeps recalibrating

Your festival plan re-scores after every acceptance and rejection, for the whole campaign

See the fit before you pay

Genre, runtime, premiere status and programmer taste, scored against the film you made

Inside Circkit

From 0 to strategy
in minutes

  1. 1. Add your film

Title, format, runtime and director info. Upload your script and Circkit drafts your logline and synopsis with AI, or write your own

  2. 2. Get your strategy

AI scores your film against every festival in the database. A personalised briefing tells you where to start, what to protect and what your award routes look like

  3. 3. Submit smarter

Track every submission and get programmer intel before each one. Your strategy recalibrates after every result and your BAFTA and Oscar routes update in real time

Less admin

This was a real festival strategy someone sent me to fix. I cried. Why are we still Frankensteining this together in software only engineers use?
A chaotic, colour-coded festival submission spreadsheet crammed with deadlines, fees and statuses typed in by hand

A calendar that stays live

Every submission date and deadline syncs straight to your Google, Apple or Outlook calendar, updating as festivals open and close.

I was about to submit to Sundance first. Circkit told me not to. That alone.
Maeve · Director, short film
I open the programmer briefing before I write any cover letter now. It is the closest thing to a sales agent I can afford.
Tom · Producer, 3 features
The fit scoring pointed me at festivals I'd never have shortlisted myself. We got into a Tier 1 lab a week later.
Priya · Writer-director
I stopped running my submissions in a spreadsheet the day I found this. The calendar alone is worth it.
Sam · Producer, documentary
It flagged a festival I was about to pay for. Scam Radar saved me the fee and the headache.
Lena · Director, short film
Knowing the BAFTA route before I submitted changed which festivals I went after first.
Daniel · Writer-director
The premiere guard caught a mistake I didn't even know I was about to make.
Aisha · Producer, feature
I used to lose hours every week updating deadlines by hand. Now it's just there, scored against my film.
Marco · Director, two shorts
The programmer briefings read like notes from someone who's actually sat on a selection panel.
Hannah · Writer-director
Cheaper than one wasted submission, and it stopped me making three of them.
Olu · Producer, documentary

Dylan Gillah, founder of Circkit

Dylan Gillah built Circkit after the spreadsheets, wasted fees and premiere mistakes became too expensive to ignore. It has been shaped with 50+ working filmmakers and producers.

Circkit, with two Cs. Cirkit was taken. We made peace with it.

Four things Circkit will not do

  • We never sell your data

To build your strategy, your inputs are processed by our AI provider, Anthropic. They are never used to train any model, and never sold to studios, festivals or anyone. The full detail is in our privacy policy

  • Honest over encouraging

Scored on real evidence: past selections, programmer taste, live deadlines. Never falsely encouraging

  • No auto-submission

Circkit will never click submit for you. We give you the intelligence, not the autopilot

  • No film school

We will not teach you to write or direct. Circkit picks up where the film exists

And FilmFreeway? Keep using it

FilmFreeway sends the submission. Circkit is the layer above it, telling you which submission is worth sending in the first place

A student, low on budget, or bringing a whole cohort?

  • Do I still use FilmFreeway?+

Yes. FilmFreeway sends the submission. Circkit helps decide whether it is worth sending.

  • How fresh is the festival data?+

Festival records are updated daily, not quarterly. Deadlines, fees and openings are kept current, and any record we cannot reverify is flagged before it can cost you a submission.

  • Will it actually save me money?+

More than money. Submit to the wrong festival first and you can burn your world premiere, and with it the Tier 1 slot and awards run that premiere unlocks. Circkit guards against that. On fees alone, avoiding a single wrong submission already covers the year.

  • How are my uploaded files stored and managed?+

Your posters, stills, and documents are stored securely and encrypted, both in transit and at rest, on hosting in the EU and US. Circkit never hosts your actual film, your screener stays on your own Vimeo and Circkit only reads the settings you authorise. Everything tied to your account is deleted within 30 days if you close it, and you can export your data at any time from Settings. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy at circkit.io/privacy.
