Our programming process consists of a Committee that screens every film in full during the preliminary phase, at least once. For films that reach the consideration judging criteria, they advance to the next round where it is screened at least once more. A third screening typically determines the final Official Selection status of a film. Films are then programmed and competing for top honors with the Grand Jury where they are screened once more by a separate Grand Jury to determine top honors for each respective category. The Grand Jury awards are announced closing night of the festival each year at the red carpet awards along with Audience Choice awards in each category.
