Film Pittsburgh presents independent films from around the world through four film festivals and an education program, deepening audiences’ understanding of various cultures, expanding acceptance and recognizing our common humanity. Pittsburgh Shorts celebrates the best contemporary short films from around the world. Begun in 2017, this festival provides a unique platform for roughly 100 filmmakers to showcase their work, compete for generous cash prizes, and engage with the Pittsburgh film scene. For six years, we have also partnered with Carnegie Screenwriters to present a short script competition with engaging live readings by local professional actors.
