LightReel is a BIPOC Festival which selects films from filmmakers from the African, Hispanic, Asian, Middle Eastern and Indigenous communities. Our Programmers view all submissions, while simultaneously scouring through hundreds of films at film festivals around the world searching for films specifically for our audience. Our Programmers are selected due to their relationship with the Festival Director and over the course of LightReel's first five years, our team has grown as we understand who our audience is and how best to serve them.
