About GEMFest

GEMFest (Gender Equity in Media Festival, formerly the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival) is organized by the Gender Equity in Media Society in Vancouver, BC. It showcases short and feature-length narrative, documentary, experimental and animation films by women and gender-diverse filmmakers worldwide.

When is the GEMFest submission deadline?

The main submission deadline for GEMFest is around 15 August 2026. Confirmed for the current edition.

How much does it cost to submit to GEMFest?
